Based on FDM_Swamie's post I thought that while BF4 was 50% discount I would buy and try..... By the way, I seen BC2 was $1.00 at Origin and many retailers.... Maybe that will bring in more players to BC2?
Two things, first you can't trust Swamie and yeah some new blood to kill would be better than shootin and stickin jicaro all the time. I've burnt up two barrels and worn out a k-bar on his sorry ass already.
Really Clyde> Well I have just one thing and one thing only to say to you, since you hold me in such high regards and that is

I've heard good and bad things about bf4 don't know what to make out of it - furthermore I would trust a good review from one of our insiders - so danny don't hold off on the review- when it all comes down to it - it has to be fun to play, period

So far the game play is very much like BF3. Some maps are ok but again so were some maps in BF3. I am dead with two shots most of the time and have not had a positive round yet. I wasted 84 bucks with premium and maps. BLAHHHHHHH!

I played SQDM and TDM although not all maps. One thing I noticed in any mode you will have players camp an area out in the fringe as in most games but they get the drop on you before you know what hit you. The screen colors seem washed out to me also. Very much like the blue haze in BF3.

Well, according to your expert review, and that it is, coming from a veteran player who knows the battlefield, the best maps do not get the adrenaline rush going if the gameplay is like in bf3, which most of us have concluded did not make it passed the hype.

Battlefield: Bad Company 3 is "still out there" according to DICE executive producer

Battlefield: Bad Company series will return, after a "very long vacation"

IF BC3 is on the horizon, let's hope the play is more like BC2 than BF3 or 4.

Glad you posted. I make battlefield 4 sound really bad but that is because I just got my butt kicked for the tenth time. Have not had a positive round yet. I have not given up yet.

I've been playing BF4 some, and trying to give it a chance. I agree with Dan, for a minute I just kept spawning and dying. I thought, well maybe it's because I'm totally lost in the maps, maybe it's because others have rank and better equipment, etc. So, I've been trying to focus on one kit, rank up and re-evaluate. So far, it does get a little better with some of the equipment upgrades and with getting to know some of the maps. I agree with Dan that I've found it hard to find servers that don't have campers and such, and I've found some hackers already. Which made me wonder if our specialty of reducing those behaviors in a good server is needed. But, my biggest concern is that I seem to spend more time loading and unloading. I feel like I spend more time doing that and looking for a good server than I do playing. As to the graphics, I find it really hard to locate the other players, when you spot someone it doesn't really stand out, and unless they're spotted the enemy is rather hard to zone in for a good shot. I suppose you get used to that, but I'm not sure I want to. I'm still giving it a chance for a little while longer. Mostly because I spent money. I will say that I have less connection issues and my ping is better with less lag than BF3. But, that's not enough to make me jump all the way in. Oh, and these maps are huge and I've found it easier to play with smaller maps with less people. But, I shouldn't have to do that, you know? Also, the configuration of controls is different, and that's been a real barrier for me. I ended up switching them to what I knew.

I'm worried that BC3 and later will be just the same platform as BF3/4. It's hard to get used to. Why can't everything remain the same, always? Happy Monday!

Good review Rart. I too will give it a chance and play here and there but BC2 is still fun so depending on mood and how I feel I will be back and forth.

thanks for the analysis, rart, I am not a fan of big maps, mainly because after playing with my new toys, (tanks, jets, boats) at the end I always favor infantry, and on big maps you just get lost in them. The other reason is teamplay, which is always better, playing with ur buddies on a tight map.
