Well, you reach deep into your pocket and build a new one.

Parts are on the way for my next build.

1 - MSI Z97-Gaming 9 AC ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
2 - Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
3 - G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-2600 Memory
4 - MSI GeForce GTX 760 4GB TWIN FROZR Video Card (2-Way SLI) (Yup two of these)
5 - Microsoft Windows 8.1 Professional (32/64-bit)
6 - ASUS VG24QE 144Hz refresh 1ms responce and 3d capable. (Two of these)

I will be using the old Liquid cooling from EXOS and various parts from old rig. So I may be down for a few days as I build this new bad boy toy.

...so to make a long story short...the captain could have gotten a new gaming laptop, very sufficient for BC2 but noo ! he had to duplicate what powers the indian marsian orbiter - Bollywood x-1 !

With this new badass humanga cowabanga from down unda he will gain the new title of Overlord since he will virtually have no net-lag.

so all of us, the remaining suckers, will just have to shoot the visine up our eyeballs to relieve the strain coming from respawning constantly !

yup the MSI connection is badass. I have the older X-87 and let me just tell you its designed keeping the gamer in mind. fully customizable board with so many on off switches it will make ur head spin. The board's interface is more like a separate operating system.

The spanking power from the (unlocked) 4790 k should be condemned . 4 physical processors plus 4 virtual ones.

2 way SLI - nuff said - guess who's team I will be on ?

now I know why the captin didn't by the $1000 coffee machine  let's see here 3 G's in new parts plus reusing old ones.

GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sums it up Captain has shown why he is a Frek'n Hacker

So with that machine hell we might as well just stand in line and let him kill us, since we ain't going to see what killed us anyway

GHOST,
I did buy another ASUS ROG lap top but gave it to my son as his lap top broke. I did a lot of looking and pricing of the Z97 boards as well as the latest X99. x99 would be nice but would cost twice what a good z97 build would cost. z97 is a good upgrade from my x58.

Windows 8.1 just arrived so the build has officially begun. Most of the junk will be here Monday with the 16 GB Ram and the M.2 120GB SSD by the 7th of October.

Ohhhhhh almost forgot......... I also got 2 ASUS 24", 144Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time and 3d capable monitors.

I will reuse ZALMAN Case, Blu-Ray drive, EXOS Liquid cooling, and a few other parts. I have fresh bacon grease for the thermal compound.

Will post pictures as the build progresses.

ur son is a happy camper, the rog has a fat GeForce 800 card I think?

I have a Z87X-D3H while not top of the line, its the best mobo I have ever owned. supports I-5 and I-7 LGa-1150, 10 USB 3.0, 5 fan connectors, sli or crossfire, 6 sata3,
HDMI, raid 0-1-5-10, 4 DDR3, 8 channel HD. like I said the interface is beast ! let me know how you like, reminds me of a command center for a submarine.

Grim This is the old X58 machine post viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1884..... As you can see in the post this is the one Stormy built and over time I have replaced the video cards and changed drives to SSD.

This is mostly going to my wife with some of the good stuff remaining with the new build. Her machine is an old HP quad core that takes 10 minutes to boot..... lol! She is way over due.

A picture is with a 1000 words. So I guess you took advantage of the deal - buy two MSI 760 and get the cat for free ?

I just noticed from the pic that your I-7 is a 1150 socket - that should drop right into my board. I'll be happy to stress test it for you.
